Welcome
lace shawl
Saturday 23th
I've been sick with a bad cough but now have new medications that should clear it up in the next month so.
It is finally getting back to normal temperatures in our area but is now very wet. Still preferable to the record breaking low temperatures and snow we have had this month. With the days getting longer it does feel like spring is on the way.
I have been busy weaving an eight foot shawl. It has really been fun and interesting to design it as I weave.
The purpose of this shawl is to have fun, do something new for me and to use only fiber from my stash.  It is fulfilling all of this and more.
I am using needle weaving for the embellishment. I fist wove a basic continuous Tri with a thin two ply  hand spun yarn I had spun from the brown sections of a Jacob fleece.
I am covering the entire weaving with needle weaving. I have done needle weaving before but never to this extend on one weaving. To see the progress of this weaving  go to the Fiber Studio section.

I apologize for leaving the Journal  blank for the last year. Computer problems, surgery and other minor health problems have kept me away from the web site.

For the last year I have been working on a new book but I'm still not sure where it is going,. I have a number of new weavings done but for now I'm at a stand still.
Recently several people have urged me to either write a new book or do a revised edition of  the Tri Loom Book or both  I'm still thinking about both ideas.
Since Tri Loom Weaving was first published Tri Loom Weaving  has attracted many new weavers with wonderful designs and new ideas.  I'm still  trying to decide if I have any new ideas to add.
I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and Happy Weaving.
